Bahrain Asphalt Establishment (BAE) is a market leader in the Asphalt production and research development of special asphalts, emulsions and Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB). The company was established in 1965 as the first national Asphalt service provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Asphalt supply with our own fleet of equipment for the production and delivery of asphalt. Total capacity of over 3,000 tons per day. Concrete supply through BAE affiliated company Haji Hasan Ready Mix. BAE owns crushing and screening plants to produce all crushed raw products.

Bahrain Asphalt had been awarded the contract in 2006 to upgrade the existing Airstrip at Sakhir to an operational Airbase which included construction of Runways, Taxiways, Aprons, Drainage System, Airfield Ground Lighting, High Mast Lighting, construction of Control Tower, Electrical Substation, Communication systems, etc.
The work included 500,000m3 Earthworks, 270,000 m2 of Asphalt Runways and Taxiways and concrete Aprons which were carried out using the latest technologies in the industry. On completion of the project in 2008, a new project to execute the entire road network in Sakhir Airbase was also awarded to BAE.
Bahrain International Circuit with a value of BD 2,500,000 was completed on 2004 with a construction of 5,500m race track, 1,500m of shortcuts, 2500m of test oval pit lanes and service roads compromising 14,000m along with parking area of 100,000m2 and access roads of 3,000m.

The asphalt mixture contains approximately 5% bitumen. At ambient temperatures bitumen is a stable, semi-solid substance. Bitumen is primarily used in production of asphalt for road paving. Its other uses are for bituminous waterproofing products for various applications.
