We have attained numerous international qualifications for our Integrated Management System (IMS) initiatives and continually strive to implement and achieve the latest ISO Certifications. In order to participate more fully in building Bahrain’s infrastructure as well as meeting the growing demand for a range of new developments, BAE has expanded its resources by recruiting new staff with international experience as well as investing heavily to upgrade its fleet of equipment.

BAE's Capabilities

Bahrain Asphalt Establishment (BAE) is a market leader in the Asphalt production and research development of special asphalts, emulsions and Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB). The company was established in 1965 as the first national Asphalt service provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

BAE maintained its leadership in the Asphalt business through reinforcing its commitment to quality.

With the experience of more than half a century, BAE has transformed itself from a small road paving to the largest asphalt contractor in the Kingdom,

and one of the major players in the Asphalt business in the region through the innovative infrastructure solutions that it offers.

The company’s large portfolio of developments manifest include a wide range of infrastructure solutions that include large-scale developments at the Bahrain International Airport and Shaikh Isa Air Base facilities.

Highways, Roads and Infrastructure

Having the largest fleet of construction equipment and transport trucks enables us to meet the growing challenges involved in building the new infrastructure in Bahrain, with our in-house capabilities including:

Asphalt supply with our own fleet of equipment for the production and delivery of asphalt. Total capacity of over 3,000 tons per day. Concrete supply through BAE affiliated company Haji Hasan Ready Mix. BAE owns crushing and screening plants to produce all crushed raw products.

Airports and Race Tracks

Bahrain Asphalt had been awarded the contract in 2006 to upgrade the existing Airstrip at Sakhir to an operational Airbase which included construction of Runways, Taxiways, Aprons, Drainage System, Airfield Ground Lighting, High Mast Lighting, construction of Control Tower, Electrical Substation, Communication systems, etc.

The work included 500,000m3 Earthworks, 270,000 m2 of Asphalt Runways and Taxiways and concrete Aprons which were carried out using the latest technologies in the industry. On completion of the project in 2008, a new project to execute the entire road network in Sakhir Airbase was also awarded to BAE.

Bahrain International Circuit with a value of BD 2,500,000 was completed on 2004 with a construction of 5,500m race track, 1,500m of shortcuts, 2500m of test oval pit lanes and service roads compromising 14,000m along with parking area of 100,000m2 and access roads of 3,000m.

Bridges and Landmark Projects

BAE’s portfolio includes Bridges buildings on a design and build basis with various projects successfully executed, including complete civil works. We are continuously collaborating in partnerships with several international companies to construct several complex and high-profile landmark Structures.

Pipeline Construction

BAE has in-depth knowledge and insight in the construction of pipelines for water networks, drainage, sewerage. The company’s wide pipeline construction experience draws on several facets of civil and mechanical construction including trenching, laying of pipelines, major crossings and commissioning.

Sewage Treatment Plants and Pump Stations

BAE can execute turnkey projects related to sewage treatment plants, pumping stations for infrastructure developments. The company performs a high standard of contracting services in this field, utilizing resources of the highest quality.

Offices, Workshop and PMV

Offices:

The company’s head office is in Manama, Bahrain. The offices are equipped with the latest IT infrastructure to meet all global standards and requirements, in addition to fully satisfy the expectations of clients in any location. Our primary philosophy centers on achieving maximum efficiency through the best use of staff, manpower and resources.

Workshop:

Part of our philosophy to achieve the maximum level of efficiency in Repairs & productivity, we have established state-of-the-art Garage workshop facilities equipped with new machines, equipment and tools. The Garage workshop is situated in Salmabad Area close to where many of our local projects are based.

PMV Facilities:

We invested heavily in equipment in order to facilitate upcoming projects. In addition, the company has established a central PMV workshop in Salmabad Area. A trained and dedicated team carry out continuous preventive maintenance on the machinery, which comprises the largest fleet in the Kingdom Of Bahrain.

Fleet Of 300+ Equipment

The fleet includes heavy earthworks machinery, crushing and screening plants, road-paving and asphalt-paving machinery, asphalt Plant, high-performance machinery, specified-task equipment and several other types of different scale machinery and vehicles.

Staff and Manpower

The organization is run by a professional, dynamic workforce of more than 1,000 multinational employees.

BAE has a fully integrated team at the head office, project sites, PMV facilities and workshops comprising of numerous departments that work together efficiently to ensure the smooth flow of operation, thus delivering optimum services to all its clients and partners.

On-site, BAE’s highly experienced staff manage and analyze all project works including civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works. The company adheres to the highest standards of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) as well as occupational safety standards to ascertain that the workforce is fully protected at all times. BAE implements appropriate measures to ensure the avoidance of accidents, in addition, work-related hazards are constantly assessed. The staff are provided with protective clothing and are actively engaged in learning and adhering to health and safety working practices
