Project: SH. Zayed Highway Improvement

Upgrading of Existing Sh. Zayed highway, Salmabad Bypass and 16 December highway into three lane dual Carriageway with at grade signalized junctions including storm water drainage, HV /LV diversions, Street lighting etc. Total length of three lane highway improvement was 8.25km
The Project Consisted of 4 Sections as follows:
Section 1- Sh. Zayed Highway Improvement –East: Improvement of 16 December Highway for a length of about 1.8km
Section 2- Sh. Zayed Highway Improvement –West: Improvement of 3.2 km from Sh. Khalifa bin salman highway to Sh. Salman highway.
Existing two-lane carriageway with two roundabouts was modified to three lane dual carriageway with two grade signalized junctions.
Section 3- Sh. Zayed Highway Improvement –North: Improvement of 3.2 km of Salmabad bypass or Avenue 12.
Existing two-lane carriageway with two roundabouts was modified to three lane dual carriageway with two grade signalized junctions.
Sewerage Works:
The scope for sewerage works included Construction of 950 l/s capacity submersible lifting station (12m x15mx15m depth) within the boundary of Salmabad (Ramli) Housing and Construction of a new 1200mm diameter (approximately 1.2 km long) gravity trunk sewer along Avenue 12.
